– coffee is instant happiness
– the serials department in the library is pretty unorganized (good thing I work for them)
– high school boys act like 6 year olds
– i love my major
– college is the best 4 (or 5 or 6) years of your life, don’t forget that
– i was less than impressed with the Emmy’s last night. but will be posting a more extensive opinion on them later this week when i get a chance to catch my breath
– i don’t pay attention to crosswalks which makes today a “made bad decisions” day (no worries, i didn’t hurt anyone)
– i really love my major
– Meghan is one of the funniest people i know and brings out the funny in me (i thank God every day for friends like her)

Where has this week gone!? I am approaching Sunday and realized that in 3 weeks I have only had one brief post that was not a Super Clip. I’m ashamed. Sorry kids, I’m going to try and make it up to you. Fall Preview time!
School has begun and we all know what that means: Friday nights on Hulu catching up on all my TV because I don’t have any time to watch it during the week! I’m more of a movie person (in comparison to my brother who keeps up with over 20, yes that’s right, over 20 shows in the span of a year), but I certainly have a handful of shows I like to watch. This fall actually brings some pretty promising things. I’m going to give you the rundown on all my favorite shows and what will be added to my Hulu queue. At this point I’m sure you all are aware of my television taste. So let’s get started:
New Girl: Premieres Tuesday, September 20 at 9PM on FOX. I will definitely be watching this religiously because Zooey Deschanel is the leading lady and I adore her. Follows a quirky single girl moving in with a couple of (very good looking) gentlemen. Looks charming and cute – very excited for this
Up All Night: Premieres Wednesday, September 14 at 10PM on NBC. Will Arnett and Christina Applegate. Sarcastic parenting. Funny ensues. I really hope that this is as funny as its commercials have been. Maybe as funny as Modern Family? I can only hope.
The Playboy Club: Premieres Monday, September 19 at 10PM on NBC. Not sure about this one but I’m obsessed with retro drama television (Mad Men) and always loved that burlesque and gentlemen’s clubs were actually classy in the “olden days”. I’ve heard good things, not too sure what the story line will be. But I’m assuming that Mad Men lovers are supposed to watch this.
Whitney: Premieres Thursday, September 22 at 930 PM on NBC. I really don’t like Whitney Cummings. I don’t prefer her stand up and I find her to be crude. However, the promos for her new sitcom have pulled me in and I’m planning on catching the pilot.
Modern Family: Premieres Wednesday, September 21 at 9PM on ABC. If you aren’t watching this show yet now is your chance. Watch it. Put in your Tivo, DVR or Hulu queue. You must watch it. Unless you hate laughing then definitely don’t watch it. Excited for yet another season and have no doubts it will sustain its hilarity.
How I Met You Mother: Premieres Monday, September 19 at 9PM on CBS. I’m kind of obsessed with this show. It’s actually getting out of hand. Going on its 7th season (with another to come?) this show has never failed to deliver. This show is incredibly captivating and entertaining. You’d think they’d run out of things to write about, but they don’t. So much funny. Catch it this season but I definitely recommend watching the other 6 seasons. You won’t regret it.
Grey’s Anatomy: Premieres Thursday September 22 at 9PM on ABC. Guilty pleasure. I’ve watched this show since season one and would feel like I’ve wasted all those years if I ever stopped watching it. So I continue to get crazy excited each week for this show – it’s embarrassing. I’m not proud.
Glee: Premieres Tuesday, September 20 at 8PM on FOX (right before New Girl!) This show has always been entertaining but I’ve been losing faith. The story line has been weak and is evidence of poor/lazy writing. The performances aren’t what they used to be. I will, however, continue to watch it because I’m hoping it picks up.
The Office: Premieres Thursday, September 22 at 9PM on NBC. First year without Steve Carrell (gasp!). I know many many people who are deleting this from queues across the internet, removing it from the “record weekly” list on their DVR. They feel betrayed that Steve would ever leave them like that! I will be watching it. Week after week I will watch. I can’t let it go. We’ve been together for so many years I just can’t give up on it like that. It wouldn’t be fair. Plus I hear Josh Groban is coming on as Andy Barnard’s brother. Groban’s funny. If you don’t believe me watch this video.
Park and Recreation: Premieres Tuesday, September 22 at 830PM on NBC. Just picked this one up over the summer. Definitely a hit. Totally quirky sitcom, but you all know I have a soft spot for those. Most of the episodes are on InstaFlix (Instant Netflix, I just made up that term right now.) so you can catch up on previous seasons. And I have a major crush on Adam Scott – he’s so dreamy.
30 Rock: No idea when it’s coming on yet. But I’ll be watching as per usual.
Let’s review: NBC kicks ass when it comes to television. CBS sucks for not putting their television on Hulu. I’ll be following way too many shows. And I want all of you to watch these and then comment and let me know what you think! Happy watching!
